More pictures from the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. At the tip of the peninsula there was a lovely bright yellow light house we visiting, and along the way there was a pretty little black sand beach where we walked in the cold water with our bare feet (because Luca demanded we all take off our shoes).

Luca had his 2 year physical last week and he weighs 32 lbs and is 37.5 inches!!

Here are some new pictures, sorry it has been so long since we posted anything new! The first ones are from a week or so ago, Luca really loves to climb into bed and get under the covers. It snowed recently and I took Luca outside to play in it on Monday. He didn't want to take his snow clothes off completely when we came in, so he played for awhile all bundled up.

Luca loves loves loves to plays with balls. He especially loves to sit in the balls and then dump them out all over the place. Here are some pictures from yesterday, when we Luca was sitting in the laundry basket covered with balls! And then a couple of pictures of Luca with his sunglasses on, getting ready for some sunshine! And, yes, he probably needs a haircut.

Sometimes Luca becomes obsessed with wearing either mine or Marcin's glasses. He'll persistently pull them from our faces and try to put them on his face. He loves it when he succeeds. We rarely let him get very far in this endeaver, as he is rarely very gentle with our glasses ... he even broke Marcin's last pair of glasses. Here are some pictures of a couple of days ago when I allowed him to wear my glasses for a few minutes.

These are pictures of Luca from an outing to the Botanical Garden. Luca really wanted to spend all of his time playing/getting wet in the stream. He loves to play with rocks.

It is getting colder outside now, so we bought Luca a warmer jacket and hat yesterday. These pictures are from this afternoon in our front/back yard. Luca loves loves loves to go outside, he is constantly at the front door trying to get out. Once outside he is constantly running around, so it is hard to get good pictures of him.

Here are some new pictures, sorry it has been so long since we've posted anything. Luca has been sick off and on the past month or so, and we had gotten out of the habit of posting. We'll try to get caught up on posting pictures. We have a lot of pictures from the past couple of months to share. The weather here is finally perfect for going outside to play. Here are some more pictures from play time in our living room. Even though Luca plays all day at daycare, he is always ready for more ... He loves to make a mess, taking down toys and spreading them all over the floor. They call him a bulldozer at daycare because he runs around pulling toys down and then crawling/walking over them.

Some pictures of Luca playing around the house. It has been really hot lately, so we've had to play inside a lot. Luca has become much steadier on his feet, and is walking quite a bit these days.

A few weeks ago we bought a Luca sized pool so he could sit outside and play in the water. It was a success.

When we arrived in Stockholm it was snowing! We had thought that Luca was done with his bear suit, but he wore it every day in Stockholm. Everyone on the street was charmed by Luca in his bear suit, and we frequently heard Swedes oohing and ahing about the cute 'bjorn'. Luckily we came back to the sunny weather because he is seriously outgrowing it. At 1-year, Luca weighs almost 24 lbs and has almost outgrown the baby bjorn carrier as well. We all loved Stockholm and enjoyed hours of walking and exploring many of Stockholm's islands.

Luca is super squirmy ... here he is wriggling around.

Luca is getting more and more excited about his books. Now he even takes them with him while cruising around in his walker.

A couple of weeks ago, it was in the 60s! We went out for a walk at the botanical gardens and enjoyed the weather.

10 months old

Luca turned 10 months old last week! Time flies ... Luca loves loves loves taking his nightly bath. He loves to splash and playing with his toys.

Luca loves to chew on teething biscuits. He is getting two new teeth up top right now.

Luca was making funny faces and chewing on his feet while we were having lunch yesterday.

For some reason, Luca loves to play with the plastic laundry basket. Every time it is within reach, he must grab it and push it around in his walker. It started out on his head.

Hilton Head Island

We went to Hilton Head Island for a few days with Luca. He more or less enjoyed the beach. He really hated the wind, but he loved to be carried around everywhere. Luca's front teeth are getting bigger and can now be seen in pictures. He is still biting everything he can get into his mouth, and he is squirmy squirmy squirmy! He wants to explore everything!

9 months old!

Luca turned 9 months old on Saturday! He now weighs 20.0 lbs and said his first word on Saturday ... "Up!" How appropriate! He is trying to stand up and sits up all the time, it is a challenge to change his diaper. He doesn't want to stay still these days ...

Luca can now climb up on his own to stand up in his co-sleeper. He is unstoppable!

Luca is walking up a storm in his walker. He is exploring the whole house ... grabbing everything in his reach. He is getting faster and faster ...
