Last week we took some pictures the old fashioned way, with actual film that had to be developed. Here are the results.
These were taken with the Holga camera at our house.
These were taken during our outing to Centennial Park last week.

2 weeks old!
How time flies when you are sleep deprived ... Luca is already 2 weeks old! It was a rain free day so we took a trip to the park. It was our first outing in the stroller, and we had a great time. Luca loved being pushed in the stroller, in fact he kept falling asleep. We can't wait for more sunny days!

pediatrician
Luca went in for his 2 week physical today and he has gained some weight since we left the hospital. When he was born he weighed 7 lbs 11.8 oz, when we left the hospital he weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and today he weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. Hooray! Eating every 3 hours pays off!
Luca also received some new friends today (thanks gwen for such new great pals!) - a brown mouse named Clive and his little friend Birdie.

no rain today!
Today is the first day in a week or so without rain and thunderstorms, and the last rain free day for at least a few days. We decided to take Luca for his first walk around the neighborhood, since it is the first rain free day since we brought him home. We decided to try out one of the baby wrap carriers that we received, the one we used is from Jay and Alisha (Thanks!). It worked great, Luca loved it! He fell asleep almost immediately and felt snugly secure on my chest. Since the weather was nice, we also took some pictures on the porch with the tripod.

smart baby!
Look at how smart our baby is!! We were blown away by Luca's ability at 9 days old to hold his own pacifier in his mouth (yeah, it doesn't take much to impress us). So of course our natural conclusion is that Luca is a genius!! Who knows what he will do next with this kind of intellect. Soon he will be solving the mysteries of the universe! Attached are pictures that document his genius.

rainy day
Today was very dark and gray, it rained all day long. Loud thunder storms woke us last night, in addition to Luca waking us to eat and have his diaper changed. I took a few pictures of Luca with his papa, it really gives you a sense of how tiny he is!
While changing Luca's diaper this afternoon, Luca decided it was time to to go pee ... wow, little boys can really make a mess! But he is still our beloved sweetie pie ...
Luca lost his umbilical cord stump today, it looks like he has a very cute innie belly button.
Our friend Jay brought over some tabbouleh and hoummos his wife Alisha had prepared for us ... we just finished the stuffed cannelloni he brought over a couple of days ago. we are so lucky to have such great friends!
